Symbolism
This painting is a symbolism of life. People building and then passing - in a continuum of similarity, in an always existing natural environment.
Mountains in Utah rest in the background. The colorful stones are from the crystal clear Albula River in Switzerland and the branch of delicate leaves growing from these stones are from my home in Utah. Cradled on all sides of this beautiful natural environment is the architectural ruin of an arch, that I saw in one of my visits to Europe. The arch is a bridge between humans and nature and is symbolic of how nature and humans co-exist on this earth.
