Symbolism
This painting is a symbolism of life. People building and then passing - in a continuum of similarity, in an always existing natural environment.
Snow Canyon in Utah exists in the background. Architectural ruins from Europe are imprinted in the beauty of nature and form an arch that connects past and present. The strength of the pillars in a ruin state symbolize the fortitude of humans as well as their vulnerability. A still life of the enduring rocks from Snow Canyon float in the foreground.
The beauty, strength, and quiet of the rocks speak of the peace and grounding that nature brings to human existence. The twig of dried berries symbolize ever renewing nature.
