Symbolism


The still life of the orchid growing out of beautiful blue waters symbolizes the beauty of hope and the caring that was shown by people worldwide during the pandemic.


A Utah landscape with European architecture forms the background, symbolizing that though we are far from one another, we are closer than we realize. 



About


Hope was painted during the Covid 19 pandemic for the Copelouzos Family Art Museum in Greece.


It was created using a combination of the Flemish and Venetian oil painting techniques.
