Symbolism
This piece symbolizes finding hidden memories of moments of grace in a troubling time. My remembrance of Ava Fine Art Studio being filled with people, love, laughter, pain, and endings happened when I found this bottle of wine a decade later.
The cloth, with its windings in and out of green silkiness, symbolizes the fact that grace can grow out of difficult times and it is possible to remember all the beautiful moments.
About
Finding Moments of Grace was created using a combination of the Flemish and Venetian techniques of oil painting. It hung in the UVU Museum of Fine Art at Lakemount in 2024.
