Emergence symbolizes when a woman begins to emerge into a time of discovery and realization of who she truly is, leaving behind the person a patriarchal society told her she must be.

The agelessness of this struggle is shown in the rugged mountain landscape. The fallacy of this belief system is shown in the broken and hard sculpture of the male figure.
